  • Web 2.0 is the revolution of E-media. It has revolutionized the way we interact though the internet


  • Before internet was a way to get information, now it's a source of entertainment.



  • Web 2.0 allows you to communicate with each other through the internet. It creates virtual communities and allows you to interact with people around the world.


  • It also makes life easier.


  • Browser based software is an example of this. You can now find your route by simply going to Google Maps and typing your location.


  • You can also share files with people around the world (peer 2 peer) thanks to broadband internet spead opposed to the old web 1.0 dial-up





Etertainment



  • Web 2.0 is a leap foward as now it has made the internet a source of entertinment

  • User generated content has blurred the distinction between producer and citenzen because before they we're the ones releasing entertainment but now it's us who are.

  • Websites such as youtube generate thousands of videos a day.
  • It has now become clear that we are the media.



Communication
  • For many people Web 2.0 has become a way of life
  • People can now communicate with each other
  • Teenagers spend hours on the computer
  • Also users now share fils with each other around the world
  • Peer 2 Peer applications such as Bittorent and Limewire allows you to share files with people around the world e.g. music.
