Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels Trailer Case Study

Lock Stock is aimed at the same audience that our own trailers should be aimed at. The movie was widely praised for its unique style and its' half-light hearted take on the gangster genre yet still maintaining all the conventions. When introducing some characters the camera cuts into each character, this adds style and entertainment and is famous in a lot of Guy Richie movies. The music is almost light-hearted mocking the genre showing the comedy elements in the movie. Also this is portrayed throughout the trailer through their remarks that they make.

Near the end the film shows a unique part of the film where they're becoming drunk, the camera goes slow-mo when while they are drinking then changing speed to the next person etc. The film uses elements that are aimed at this specific audience. The film targets the similar hard-hitting gangster issues that we have come to expect in a film and blends it with comedy, its from this where the film targets late teens as well as adults. The trailer doesn't try to inform people what the film is about, it tries to entertain people to buy the film. The movie is aimed at younger adults rather than older ones as it uses a variety of slang.
